Established in 2009, yk records is the sole undertaking of Michael Eades. It began as a means to help Uncle Skeleton release his first album, Pancho Chumley; a collection of songs previously planned to sit on a shelf indefinitely.
In the years since that initial release the undertaking has grown and expanded but continues to support artists who may otherwise go unheard. These are albums with a perspective and a voice unto themselves. The roster runs the gamut from blissful pop songs to crass country to tropicalia inspired electronica; a refreshing variety.
Physical releases are intended to be high-quality short-runs of vinyl with memorable packaging, something to marvel over and make artist and fan alike proud to own.
