Enchanted Loom, The

I didn't look up The Enchanted Loom until after I'd chosen it as a title. This and all other titles are words and phrases that I find while reading (books, magazine & social media).
Written between February and May 2024. I’d be tinkering about on a guitar – any ideas that wouldn’t go away or were remembered from one session to the next were written down on manuscript paper until I had something resembling a composition. This was then written up into the DAW (Cakewalk) and largely forgotten about until I felt I had enough material for an ‘album’ – in this case an imaginary piece of vinyl, aiming for around 45 minutes of music (I’ve overshot a little). Then it was a question of layering guitars and drums. Some guide guitar tracks have remained in the final mix. “Egyptian Goose” had a guide melody using an oboe sound. I liked it so much I did an oboe version as a bonus track at the end. Otherwise everything else is all guitars.
