One-Gether

This was originally part of the album ‘Sounds Like Home’. All songs on ‘Sounds Like Home’ are created using ordinary objects I found in my home and repurposed into musical instruments.

On ‘One-Gether’ I played rice can shaker, coffee can shaker, small glass jars, acoustic guitars, acoustic fretless bass guitar, cajón¹, kalimba, melodica, wind chimes, and mouth harps (đàn môi² and kubing³).

The song title was inspired by a word that the kid of Gaijinmommy, famichiki.jp/@Gaijinmommy, invented.

Gaijinmommy also allowed me to use one of her fabulous Tokyo-by-night photographs for my cover artwork.

Later on, I found that the song has a somewhat different spirit from the ones on the album and a cover artwork that stands out, so I removed it from ‘Sounds Like Home’ and made it a single in its own right.
