At the top of a nation, an angry narcissist, considering himself infallible; greedy and needy for attention, ruthless against anyone who disagrees — what could possibly go wrong?
I envisioned this scenario many years ago, when I released music under the moniker of Zhouy. Only very recently did I rediscover the song and its apparent premonition of current events.
I performed all the vocals, played keyboards and samplers, electric guitars, and programmed the drums.
After some light remastering I now release it.
Please note: this song is several years old. Its lyrics mention “bombs” but must not be understood in the current (since early 2022, ongoing) context of military aid to Ukraine, a country under attack from an imperialist power. While it’s a multifaceted issue, I am rather certain that Ukraine would not survive a week without weapons.
